Adobe’s Generative Remove 👋 😂

Yesterday, Adobe introduced Generative Remove in Lightroom. It removes unwanted objects from your images.

What does it do?

It allows you to remove people, distractions, unwanted objects and more from images. It’s designed to streamline the retouching process across mobile, web, and desktop platforms.

Is that it?

Adobe also added the Lens Blur tool for aesthetic blur effects, expanded tethering support for new cameras, and an improved mobile editing experience.

When can I use these?

They are available in early access now in Lightroom.

Microsoft’s compact, multimodal AI 🤖🔥

At its Build event, Microsoft unveiled Phi-3-vision. It’s a 4.2 billion-parameter, multimodal model that analyzes and comprehends text, images, charts, and more.

What’s so great about it?

Phi-3-vision excels in tasks like optical character recognition (OCR), chart analysis, and diagram understanding. It quickly and efficiently processes real-world images and has significant performance and cost advantages over larger language models.

Is that it?

Microsoft also made its whole suite of Phi-3 models available via Microsoft Azure AI Studio. They are cost-effective and compact, which allows you to use them on your devices without connecting to a network.

Get rich, or Phi trying. 😂
